13For I hold you by your right hand--
I, the lord your God.
And I say to you,
‘Don’t be afraid. I am here to help you.
O - I can be in total peace and comfort because God Himself has said He is here to help me. He is telling me not to be afraid, he has me by the hand. These are attributes of our very earthly fathers when we were children. God is the ultimate father and he offers total comfort for us. He is holding our hand, we are not alone at all. I can not be afraid of anything in His name.
A - I can go forward in the projects that I am attempting and I can do so knowing that God will be with me. I can rely on Him and ask for His help and His opinion is some ways, through prayer. As long as what I am doing lines up with His will, He will be there for me. I will count on God as my biggest cheerleader. I will expect that He will answer my prayers because He has promised to do so and I will not be afraid of those answers.
P - Father God, thank you so much for reassuring me that you are always with me. Thank you for holding my hand and guiding me through each step of my life. Thank you for the knowledge that I can always count on you regardless of the circumstances.
As I reflect back to the verse I posted last night. Today's verse in the OT is a foreshadowing of Jesus' answer in the NT. Check out last night's blog for the verse I am referring to. You'll be glad you did.
