Wow, I just finished reading the book of Jude. What an amazing book, only one chapter in length but oh so prophetic for today's world. It talks about people doing whatever they like, living immoral lives, defying authority. It talks about false teachers infiltrating our churches and denying Jesus Christ. It talks about how these people can worm their way into our lives and ruin us if we are not wise to who they are. This book is a must read for every Christian in our crazy world today. It is eye opening and will help you to think ahead as we prepare each day to enter the world of false prophets and non believers. Open this book, read it and learn from it. Allow it to be instructional and a tool as you spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
O - We are being asked here to save those that do not believe in Christ. By offering the the love of Jesus, we will assist in saving them from hell. To do this, we have to be able to show mercy, the way God showed mercy to us. But because we are not God, we must be cautious, we could get sucked into the very sinful life we are trying to pull someone else out of.
A - I will remember that my purpose is to help others to find Christ, regardless of what sin they are currently living in. When I go to do this though, I must be prayed up and in full armor of the Holy Spirit so that I am not sucked into the sinful lives of others. I will walk with the caution that God has instructed which will allow me to show mercy to those I am trying to feed the Word of God. I can not do this alone, I can only do this when I know I am empowered through prayers and preparation. Jesus is a gift for all of us and one that I am always learning to give.
P - Father God, thank you so much for your mercy and for saving me from the flames of eternal damnation and judgement. Please show me ways and prepare me to find others that need your mercy. Allow me to be able to convert Your love so that they too will want to turn from their sinful ways and come to know you. Protect me from the sinful lives I will encounter as I go forth spreading the "Good News"
