Are you a believer in Christ yet reluctant to tell others? Do you have a fear of telling friends and family that you have Jesus in your heart? Don't be a silent believer. We are told to have Jesus in our heart to be saved, but it goes farther than that, we are also told to openly proclaim that we have Him in our hearts. The scripture says to believe and openly declare in order to be saved. There are many ways to do this. Baptism is one way, it can be a public declaration that you have accepted Jesus. But I don't think it is supposed to be a one time thing. I think we need to be openly declaring our Lord and Savior as often as we possibly can. We need to be praying that the Holy Spirit show us openings and ways to let others know that we believe and they can come to know Him too. We need to be prepared to answer questions and lead others to Christ as they see our hearts and our blessings from God. So don't be a silent believer, be a voice for the Lord.
O - It takes more than believing in Jesus to be saved. You have to know it in your heart, you have to believe it in your heart, but you have to decide to declare it publicly. You have to allow others to know you have received Jesus in your heart. It is by this public declaration that you are confirming the belief you hold in your heart. When you are willing to accept and declare, you can know you are saved.
A - I will tell others of my love for Christ, I will declare that He is my Savior so that others will know I have Him in my heart. I want others to know that I am a believer. If they can see what Jesus has done for me and know that it is possible to believe and proclaim and be saved, others will be open to the invitation.
P - Father, I thank you that I am saved by the blood of your Son, Jesus Christ. I thank you for giving me a receiving heart and a proclaiming voice. Father help me to be bold and strong as I let others know that Jesus is our Savior. Father help me to be tender and wise as I explain the compassion that Jesus has for everyone and how important it is for them to accept Him into our hearts. Father please help me to bring you more believers. In Jesus' name, Amen
