As many of you know, Brian and I support an orphanage in Guatemala and go there every March as well. The kids at Canica are so close to my heart and I love them and plan to continue to be part of their lives for years to come. We are a great team, Brian and I. He connects to the younger children and I connect to the older ones.
It is going to seem like I am jumping around a lot here but this will all come together for a point soon. LOL. While in the Dominican Republic, I was asked to speak at a women's conference. What a joy it was to speak to over 300 women, many pastors, leaders, mothers and teen girls. It was such a Holy Spirit experience. I prayed with pastors for their churches, I prayed with leaders, I prayed over women with issues in their lives, our team even prayed to cast out a demon in one lady.
So by these last two paragraphs you can probably tell that women and children are near and dear to my heart and my ministry. I think I connect with them because my own daughter went to be home with the Lord at the age of 17. This was almost 8 years ago now. When you put it all together, it comes to fruition with this next Honduras trip. This trip is called Empower. It is for empowering women and daughter's. When I ready that, it just grabbed my heart and pulled tight. I didn't know if this was just me or the Holy Spirit calling me. So after two weeks of talking and praying (not enough I am sure) I have decided I need to be a part of this. I am even considering selling my motorcycle to fund this trip. For those of you that know me, that is huge. But that too has been nudging me and I know that is the Holy Spirit, when I feel those nudges. I have felt that before and I just don't think I can ignore it.
I will keep you all posted. I will be registering next week when I get paid. Keep me in your prayers.
