So here is what God has been putting on my heart and I feel the Holy Spirit guiding me through this. Along with my Bible studies here, I am also going to utilize the S.O.A.P. process. In essence, I will be doing my SOAP journaling right here. For those of you that do not know what SOAP is, I will break it down for you.
S- Scripture, pick a scripture and meditate on it.
O- Observation, What does this scripture say to you?
A- Application, How can you apply this scripture to your life?
P- Prayer, utilize this scripture and what it means to you in a short prayer and ask God to help you apply it.
So, that my friends is SOAP. It is a great way to meditate on and stay in God's word. Keeping a journal of this makes it great for going back to a time when you may need to reflect on something.
Next I am going to tell you about the Holy Spirit nudge I am getting. By making this public, I am making a commitment to accomplishing this. I have always longed to be a writer. I have always wanted to write a book. After Kaitlyn's death, many people suggested I write a book telling how God's faith brought us through this. After Tuesday's blog and the explosion of readership I made a decision. I am going to write an E-book, maybe even two or three. I already have the ideas in my head and I just need to take time to take my thoughts and put them together into words. I have already enlisted the help of a talented young lady that will be designing the cover of my first E-book. It also occurred to me that if these books really produce any revenue, I will have been blessed with the income needed to support the mission trips I feel so led to go on. I would no longer need to seek funding as it would be supplied. One more time, Kaitlyn is involved in helping me to reach those that need to hear God's word. My Savior is so awesome, and the best part is that He can be your Savior too.
I will be back later today to post 1 John Chapter two as well as my SOAP journal. In the mean time, please keep all of this in prayer and I will be praying for you.
In Christ Always,
