I am so blessed. Over a year ago I noticed I was being nudged by the Holy Spirit to do something for the Children of Canica. This is the orphanage that Brian and I go to every year and sometimes twice a year in Guatemala. So early this year I got started and finally set up a non profit organization. It took a lot of research and hard work but I got it up and running. Of course we are off to a slow start, but we have been waiting for some major paperwork from various government sources. First I received the approval from the Michigan Attorney General for a right to solicit funds as a non profit. Then two days ago, I received notice that our application to be a tax exempt non profit was approved. While we were waiting on that application, I was put in touch with another church that goes to Canica regularly. They too love the children and want to do everything to help them. This church told me they are compiling a video to show the world, the needs of these children. They just didn't have a foundation that was dedicated to the cause to have people make their donations. I was contacted and told them I would love to be part of that but at the time I was still waiting for our tax exempt status. God's timing is amazing of course. The folks that run the orphanage, Rich and Linda, who are originally form this church in Traverse City, contacted me to see what the status was. You see the video was just about ready. Of course I was so excited. I sent all the needed information to all the correct people. Our non profit name and website will be at the end of the video. People will be directed to make their donations right to Mountains of Hope for Kids of the King, Inc.
Just in the paragraph above, I have had my socks blessed of this week. But it looks like there may be more to come. As I learn more and continue to serve God and put him first. I will keep you posted to all the ways He shows his love. Learn to look for the opportunities put before you everyone. God is sitting there just waiting for you to ask and receive.
