2Let all that I am praise the Lord;
may I never forget the good things he does for me.
The second part of that verse may seem like the most important part, not to forget what God does for us. But the first part is so much a part of what we need to do. Let ALL that I am praise the Lord. That means, regardless of our issues, struggles, pain etc. We praise God. Sometimes when you take the time to give praise even when you don't "feel" it, that is the exact healing you need. That is often where God opens your eyes to a new solution to your struggle.
It seems so simple and it really is, but that doesn't mean it is easy. I will wake up every morning and give praise to God. I will ask Him to show me where I should direct my steps each day. I will ask him to show me how to be obedient even when I don't want to be. I will ask Him to show me how to serve with Love. That after all is the number one commandment, to love. I hate to admit it but I think many times my own struggles come from not knowing how to love when I should. Or at least not loving the way God wants us to love. So I need to pray for a more loving spirit. This will allow for a more obedient heart. When I serve that way, the struggles should be far less. So ultimately, the struggles I fight with, are within. On the outside, to anyone else, you would laugh at what I consider a struggle, I'm sure. You may never see my fight within, but that does not make it less real. So as I walk with a repentant attitude, I can only hope those closest to me will walk with a forgiving attitude. Those things combined, repenting and forgiving, will breed the love God wants from us.
