After church, Brian and I had the privilege of taking Pastor Yaboah to lunch. Of course if you all listened even remotely to his sermon you can guess that we planned on taking him to a Chinese Buffett. To our surprise, he said he wanted to go somewhere and sit down to order. He said he just can't control himself at a Chinese Buffett...LOL. So we thought we would take him to Sagano's Japanese SteakHouse. All three of us were excited for that. To our dismay, it didn't open until three. So guess where we ended up. You got it. The Habatchi Chinese Buffett. Oh well. It was a great meal where Brian and I continues to be entertained by Anthony's great stories.
You may be asking about now, what about my diet and exercise. Today I finally was able to get on the scale and I am down 5.5 pounds from last Sunday. Not a bad start. Also, today is my free day. I need one of these a week so that I don't binge. I have found in the past, if I do this and don't deny myself or feel guilt on my free day, I am far more successful.
I was pleasantly surprised at how good and careful I was at lunch. I did not eat until I was stuffed. I started with a salad and fruit and I did not go back for dessert. ( I knew I wanted Dairy Queen later :) ) When we came home we spent some time relaxing and just enjoying our day of rest. Finally it rolled around to dessert time. My favorite is Dairy Queen Georgia Mud Fudge Blizzard made with chocolate ice cream. I only got a medium. The very last thing I will have tonight is some popcorn, then tomorrow is back to reality for another week.
As far as exercise goes, I also get a day of rest from that as well. But we did spend quite a bit of time working in the barn and cleaning it up and setting up some lights to connect. We need to have it in good shape for the wedding we are hosting here this weekend and also for our future bon fires. Both Brian and I worked up quite a sweat out there. So I did get in a little workout to get rid of some of my free day excess.
God is so good and such a part of our lives that I am constantly in awe and amazed that he keeps forgiving me and allowing me to come back and He picks me up, dusts me off and makes me shiny all over again. Thank You Jesus for what you do and who you are in my life. Thank you for working with me, in me and through me.
